The Gel Task Force is a development of San Bernardino County Fire. It consists of a number of patrol vehicles equipped with Thermo-Gel and those patrol vehicles are used to protect structures in immediate danger of fire.

Sun 10/4From: ROTW Reporter
From ROTW Reporter on scene in Wrightwood: "Structure protection is occurring in the city and almost every house closest to the fire has at least 2 fire trucks on it, with fire fighters sitting on top of one home with a shake roof. This is on Lone Pine Rd. Also AA 12 is making low passes over the fire off of the left side of Lone Pine Rd., with a helicopter in the area as well."

We were told that once you leave, you can't come back in by Hwy 2. They did say you might be able to come back in from the west, but that could change at any time.
